Kukutana, our authentic farmhouse in Southern Spain, is the perfect spot to immerse yourself in local Andalusian culture, explore the stunning Doñana National Park, and relax and unwind in beautiful, rural surroundings.
And with plenty of activities to keep even the most energetic young explorers busy, a family trip is sure to leave memories to last a lifetime. Read on for just some of the fantastic excursions and activities we can offer for our more youthful visitors.
Forest School
Led by a specialist in youth education, our forest school activities are designed to encourage children to interact with nature, whilst developing their independence, confidence, self-esteem and social skills. Whether it is exploring the woodlands around Kukutana, hunting for insects, building dens, woodwork activities or much more, these engrossing and immersive sessions are sure to keep all young minds and bodies busy. Forest school activities are available on a full or half day basis.
Pottery and art classes
Picasso, Velázquez and Murillo – the number of famous artists hailing from Andalusia is impressive; perhaps there is something in the water. Led by our own ceramics and arts teacher, we can provide pottery classes and painting for children feeling equally inspired by the beautiful surroundings and landscapes around Kukutana.
Flamenco class
Olé, olé! Let the little ones channel their inner bailador and learn a few steps of the famous local dance. Whilst adults may enjoy one of our captivating flamenco shows with a glass of rioja, the children may well like something a little more interactive. Dancing shoes at the ready!
Hot air ballooning
Whilst not strictly only a children’s activity, our hot air balloon outings are always a huge highlight for the kids (the adults seem to enjoy it too!). Float gently above the rolling Spanish countryside to enjoy spectacular 360° views in the early morning sun, as we drift slowly along the “green corridor” between Seville and Huelva near the Portuguese border. One not to be missed!
