Our horses are athletic sport crosses, carefully selected for their endurance, balance, and gentle temperament. With roots in breeds such as the French Trotter, Thoroughbred, Arabian, and Oldenburg, they are perfectly adapted to the sandy terrain and natural trails of Doñana National Park.
All our horses are ridden with English saddles, a choice that maximises comfort, stability, and harmony for both horse and rider, especially during long rides through varied landscapes.
Beyond their physical qualities, our horses are carefully trained to take part in private horse riding tours in Andalusia and family-friendly horse riding holidays in Spain, adapting naturally to different rider levels and travel styles. Safety, trust, and connection with the environment are always our priority.
The bond between horses and this land is deeply rooted in history. For centuries, in Doñana and El Rocío, horses have been essential companions in agricultural and livestock traditions, moving confidently through marshlands, shifting dunes, and pine forests. At Kukutana, we honour this legacy by inviting our guests to explore this extraordinary landscape in the most authentic way possible: on horseback, riding noble, calm, and well-trained horses.

Foganero – Our Wise Veteran
Saddle: English

Spanish horse and the eldest of the stable. A symbol of calm and experience. Although he now joins fewer long rides, he remains a cherished member of the Kukutana equestrian family.
At Kukutana, every ride begins long before mounting the saddle and continues well after dismounting. The horse sets the pace, the landscape follows, and time stretches. It is not about getting somewhere, but about being there. About listening to the rhythm of hooves on sand, the wind moving through the pines, and the calm that appears when everything falls into place.
