An hour south of the majestic city of Seville, the road winds through rural villages, passing by the region’s iconic orange plantations, before entering the protected terrain of the Doñana National Park.

The Kukutana Team

Turn off the small road onto a dirt track, and you find yourself passing through the gates and into the private estate of Kukutana.

The white and rust-red cortijo (Spanish for farmhouse) sits between two giant pine trees.

This is our family home, carefully restored and refurbished by the Llorente family and now open for private hire.

Our estate is located in the heart of the Doñana Natural Park, a landmark for biodiversity and Andalusian tradition.

Our family has owned this historic house since 1987 and after a lengthy restoration we have opened our doors to share our way of life, customs and traditions with visitors from around the world.

“It is a family project which was born from the desire to share Doñana National Park,” says Pedro Llorente, owner of Kukutana.

“The farmhouse has always been the place where we gather as a family, and we have opened our doors so that our guests can enjoy our newly restored historic home with their friends and family.”

The idea is that guests who stay at Kukutana have the chance to get involved in the preservation of Doñana National Park, to live and become acquainted with local habits and ways of life.

As such, the all-inclusive experiences at Kukutana are personalised and based on our guests interests and requirements. We organise unique experiences for each group.

Among the activities on offer are the following: hiking, horseback safaris, jeep tours and carriage rides.

One of few properties located in the Doñana National Park, one of the huge advantages of Kukutana is that we have our own stables and guests can ride horses from the property directly into the ancient woodland that surround the property.

For foodies who would like to explore the local ingredients, we can arrange a cookery lesson in the Kukutana kitchen.

Other gastronomy activities include a delicious seafood tasting menu in the town of Sanlucar, or visiting the local sherry bodega, La Gitana.

“The Kukutana way of life is to experience a unique environment, filled with history and natural beauty,” says Pedro. “To spend time with your loved ones and also have some time to yourself. It’s somewhere you can forget about the rest of the world and experience many new things.”

Kukutana is a traditional Andalusian farmhouse with 6 ensuite bedrooms. It is available for private hire and each experience is tailor made. Drop us a line or send us an email with any questions or to start planning your trip.
